Traveling from Santorini to Milos

Právě sedíme v Thiře v přístavu a čekáme na náš trajekt na ostrov Milos. Ríša ho rezervoval přes Seajets asi týden před odletem na Santorini. V Adamas na nás po příjezdu bude čekat auto, v kterém se budeme pět dní toulat po ostrově. Auto jsme poptali přímo s ubytováním a majitelé za nás vyřídili organizaci.

Plavba trajektem ze Santorini na Milos trvala něco málo přes dvě hodiny. Během cesty jsme zastavovali u několika dalších ostrovů a mně se hlavou honila myšlenka, že by bylo skvělé všechny procestovat.

We are currently sitting in Café in the port of Santorini and we are waiting for our ferry to Milos Island. Ríša booked it through the Seajets website about a week before our flight to Santorini. Once we arrive in Adamas there will be car waiting for us. We rented it together with accommodation.

We spent about two hours on the ferry from Santorini to Milos. During the sailing we stopped at several other islands and I had a thought that it would be great to explore them all.

First day in Milos

V přístavu v Adamas na nás čekal Fiat Panda, který je na úzké cesty na pláže a mini parkovací místa ideální. Do apartmánu jsme přijeli kolem osmé večer. Ubytovali jsme se ve vesnici Pollonia přímo na hlavní ulici v Pagona Studios, kde je trošku rušno, ale za to to máme asi minutu do moře a na výborné jídlo. Převlékli jsme se a vyrazili do místní restaurace na večeři.

The little Fiat Panda was waiting for us in the port, it is an ideal car for narrow paths to beaches and mini parking spaces. We arrived at the apartment in Pollonia around eight in the evening. Our apartment is right on the main street, where it’s a bit busy, but for that we have about a minute walk to the sea and multiple restaurants. We changed our clothes, took shower and went to the local tavern for dinner.

Hungry for local food

Zaujala nás Rifaki taverna, která nabízí tradiční, fancy a veganská jídla. Dala jsem si vynikající rizoto se slávkami a skořicí – úchvatná a neobvyklá kombinace. Chuťově mě to moc inspirovalo a těším se, až si ho zkusím uvařit sama.

We were fascinated by this tavern at the first sight. Menu offered traditional, fancy and vegan dishes, which was exactly for us. I had a delicious risotto with mussels and cinnamon – an incredibly good and unusual combination. That taste inspired me a lot and I’m looking forward to try to cook it myself.
